MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS

The Mokihana Club invites graduating high school music students to apply for the annual music scholarship competition. The purpose of the competition is to encourage talented graduating Kaua’i students to continue their music studies after high school.

Over the years, The Mokihana Club has awarded more than $70,000 to talented qualifying seniors in both private and public schools. The competition is based on merit, not financial need.

An applicant must have resided on Kauai for a minimum of four months prior to the competition. If the applicant is studying on another Hawaiian island, entry is allowed if the immediate family meets the residency requirement. The applicant must be a 2025 graduating senior who plans to attend an accredited college, university, or vocational school, or must be studying with a qualified music teacher if pursuing a career in music. The Mokihana Club Board of Directors reserves the right to demand proof of eligibility.

The application must provide:

  • Completed application form
  • A signed recommendation from entrant’s high school music teacher, counselor, or private teacher.

Applications and recommendations are due no later than Friday, March 21, 2025.  Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Completed application and recommendation forms must be emailed to: themokihanaclub@gmail.com.

Applicants will perform for The Mokihana Club at our April 2nd meeting.
